After reinstalling everything from scratch (again...), I wanted to share a complete, no-BS review of this duo. If you’re on the fence or struggling with the config, this is for you.
In simple terms:

Don't just install it and forget it. The Orbx Vector configurator allows you to turn off features like "secondary roads" or "small streams" to increase FPS.
FTX Global Vector is a comprehensive, world-wide vector add-on. It doesn't change the textures; instead, it replaces the default, crude vector data with highly accurate, detailed maps for across the entire globe. Before Vector, a river might flow in a broad, unrealistic curve, or a major highway might simply vanish a few miles outside a city.
